Michael Pellegrino co-hosts the financial and economic television show “Securing Your Financial Future™,” aired weekly on CBS 2. For more than a decade, he has successfully helped more than 2,000 clients manage and achieve their financial goals.
Michael first entered the financial industry as a trader specializing in stocks, then quickly advanced to trading futures and commodities.
“You quickly learn how to become successful at managing risk in this environment,” Michael says. “If you don’t, you are done.”
He then transitioned his knowledge and expertise to helping people manage their investments and retirement money. Michael’s main focus is on assisting people with the adjustment of their financial strategies as they pass from one stage of life to the next.
Michael does not believe there is a “one-size-fits-all” strategy when it comes to managing clients’ money.
In contrast, he believes that each client’s needs must be addressed with a specific strategy for that client that manages risk while achieving realistic, attainable goals. Michael still actively trades today, which he says gives him a better understanding than most on market fluctuations and what is working and not working when it comes to managing investments.
He specializes in guiding clients to a better way to potentially earn more when a market index goes up, with a focus on how to minimize or eliminate the risk of loss of both principal and earnings. His expertise extends to investment management and income planning strategies that help ensure “a lifetime income that cannot be outlived” with predictable payouts for his clients. For Michael’s clients, planning for their retirement has changed from uncertainty to confidence. As Warren Buffett said years ago regarding investing, “Rule No. 1: Never lose money. Rule No. 2: Don’t forget Rule No. 1.”
Michael has passed the Series 6, 62, 63 and 65 securities exams and holds life and health insurance licenses in Illinois.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys activities with his wife and four children. He and his family are heavily involved in their community and local church.
